Hey, you ever wonder how come that pitfalls and potholes are a part of every day life? I believe pitfalls are controllable and potholes are not. For example, a pitfall is something you can control like your attitude defines your altitude. You will never rise in life with a negative attitude (controllable pitfall). Pothole, getting caught in the rain, the sun could be shining and blue skies then all of a sudden downpour. (Uncontrollable pothole).
My pitfall this week was not having full knowledge of a new law or mandate that could have put me and my team out of business. If I would've studied and learned the rules, my team and I would have never been in jeopardy, but I didn't and it cost me time and money and could have ended our business. That's a pitfall, no excuses when others depend on you and you totally fail them by not being on point with what you need to do (totally controllable). My pothole was my truck acting up and putting my team in a awkward position. Things with the truck will happen so you must move on when you are driving and the road you are on is in need of repair, you can't control that you just drive slowly avoiding the potholes. You can move on.
Pitfalls are on you. Own your losses. Potholes are part of everyday life. Get over them both they are what you make of them.
REMEMBER WORKING OVER TIME IS A WASTE OF TIME IF IT DOESN'T ELEVATE YOUR GRIND.
Let us hear your pitfalls and potholes.
